My name is Catherine (Cat) Allen Caulfield (recently married!). I was born and raised in central Vermont. As a registered Nurse for over 15 years, much of my career has been dedicated to hospice and residential care. My passion for this work also comes from my personal life. I was the primary caregiver for my son's father who lived with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) for 13 years- 2 of those years he showed symptoms as we chased a diagnosis.
That journey gave me a deep understanding of what it is like to be on the receiving side of healthcare at home--the challenges, the emotions, and the importance of feeling supported. After his passing, I continued my nursing journey in hospice, case management and community care, always with the goal for helping families feel seen, heard and cared for.
I started Cat Caulfield Nursing LLC because I believe our community deserves accessible, compassionate nursing support that goes beyond the traditional system. Whether it's reviewing health records to give peace of mind, supporting seniors to age safety at home, or offering wellness guidance, my goal is to bring both clinical expertise and heart into every visit.
The center of my life is my family--my husband Scott, my son Sawyer and our fur daughters River, Alfie and GG-(Good Girl).
Vermont is my home, my family roots run deep here. I feel grateful to have this opportunity in my life to provide in home care to the community I was born and raised, that has given so much to me in my life.

Healthy weight management and strength building go beyond diets or quick fixes. I wprovide guidance that blends nursing knowledge with practical lifestyle changes-focusing on balanced nutrition, sustainable activity, and daily habits that support energy, strength and overall well-being. Together we'll create an approach that fits your life and helps you feel stronger, healthier and more confident.

Crisis care in hospice is provided when a patient experiences severe symptoms such as pain, difficulty breathing or agitation that cannot be managed with routine hospice visits. During this time, I would stay in your home to help manage symptoms for extended hours until stabilization. This provides families comfort so they can be a family as their loved one receives optimal care for symptom management.

Travel Nursing Support- I have extensive experience transporting individuals needing medical care who have debilitating medical issues, minimal mobility-needing coordination to and from- this includes flights both domestic and international.
